Hornby Island

Just off the coast are two islands - Denman and Hornby - perhaps best known for their many white sandy beaches and peaceful atmosphere. After touring the wineries and meadery on Hornby, visit the bluffs at Helliwell Provincial Park; the view of Vancouver Island and the mainland snow-capped mountains is spectacular. Or, if you prefer beaches to bluffs, Tribune Bay Provincial Park has one of the finest white sand beaches in the country. Swimming at Tribune Bay in the summer is the closest you can get to a tropical Wine Islands experience.
