Carbrea Vineyard, Winery & Cottage

Located on beautiful and renowned Hornby Island, Carbrea enhances the island’s romance and magic. Owners Stephen & Suzie Bishop welcome visitors to the winery. Taste award-winning wines while relaxing in the afternoon shade in this spectacular and peaceful setting. The four acre vineyard is well cared for as is evident with its neatly groomed rows and trellised plants. A selection of cool-climate varietals is grown here; Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Gewurztraminer and Agria. The majority of fruit used for their wine is estate grown. Carbrea has produced impressive wines, securing 3 medals at the Northwest Wine Summit in 2006. They also produce a spectacular Blackberry Dessert Wine which has gained popularity and is in high demand. Visit Carbrea Cottage and enjoy vineyard living. Our clean and comfortable one bedroom cottage is available for summer weekly rentals. Situated adjacent to the vineyard, Carbrea Cottage is located in a pastoral sunny location. Star gazing is at a premium here with the summer sky above. Our cottage is fully equipped and furnished, has quality bedding and towels, full laundry facilities, is walking distance to Bakery, Pizza, organic market and Hornbys myriad hiking trails and has a large lawn and tent area for extra guests.
